Flow Systems, a leading South African manufacturer of access control solutions, has supplied its Omega Prestige Glass Turnstiles for a major student accommodation development in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe.
The modern stainless steel and glass turnstiles were transported from South Africa and installed at the newly built residences to ensure controlled, secure access for more than 1,000 students. The Omega model combines aesthetic appeal and durability, making it ideal for high-traffic environments such as universities and large residential complexes.
Each turnstile is integrated with facial recognition readers, allowing only authorised individuals to enter the buildings. This ensures that the facilities remain safe while offering a seamless, contactless access experience suited to modern living standards.

The project forms part of Zimbabwe’s National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) – a government initiative aimed at expanding infrastructure and improving public housing. At the official opening, President Emmerson Mnangagwa commended the project for its efficiency, modern design, and timely completion, describing it as a model of national development and accountability.
Flow Systems’ contribution to the project underscores its growing footprint across southern Africa, delivering high-end access control systems that blend security with architectural sophistication. The Omega turnstiles are part of the company’s Prestige Turnstile range, designed to provide smooth operation, reliability, and long service life in demanding environments.
